Without communication there can be no transparency and without transparency there can be no accountability. Too often we&#8217;ve witnessed commissioners paying more attention to their phones during the &#8220;Public Comments&#8221; period of commission meetings than to what their constituents are saying. When was the last time that your commissioner held a &#8220;Town Hall&#8221; to tell constituents what&#8217;s happening within the county and to hear their concerns? Your U.S. Representative does it. Most state-level legislators do it. Why not county commissioners?<br><br>If elected, I will push for a requirement that each commissioner hosts a public &#8220;listening&#8221; event at least every calendar quarter, and I will personally pledge to hold such an event at least once a month.
